Warner Bros. reveals ‘It: Chapter Two’ footage at CinemaCon

The much-anticipated horror sequel It: Chapter Two has unveiled its first look at CinemaCon on Tuesday. Leaving the attendees horrified, the reactions claim the sequel is terrifying!

The sequel follows “The Losers Club” 27 years after the events of the first film, which is a follow-up to 2017’s box office smash hit based on the Stephen King novel of the same name.

The sequel is set in the present day when the club reunites in accordance with their blood oath to fight the evil clown Pennywise for the second time. While the younger versions of the kids will also be appearing in memory and flashback sequences in the sequel.

As being reported, the director of the film Andy Muschietti started the presentation by walking out on stage with his face hidden behind a familiar pyramid of red balloons.

He welcomed the entire Losers Club cast to the stage, including both the kids and their adult counterparts. The cast of the film includes; Isaiah Mustafa and Chosen Jacobs as Mike Hanlon, Jay Ryan and Jeremy Ray Taylor as Ben Hanscom, Andy Bean and Wyatt Oleff as Stan Uris, James Ransone and Jack Dylan Grazer as Eddie Kaspbrak, Chastain and Sophia Lillis as Beverly Marsh, and Bill Hader and Finn Wolfhard as Richie Tozier.

The footage opens with Jessica Chastain‘s adult Beverly visiting her old childhood home, where its new resident, an old woman named Mrs. Kersh, warns her that “no one who dies here [in Derry] ever really dies.”

It also provided with the first look at The Losers Club, which is all grown up in the sequel. Bill Hader and James McAvoy, the most prominently featured members.

The trailer ends with one, final word from Bill Skarsgård‘s demonic clown: “Hello.” I have to say, I wanted a little more from the Chapter Two presentation, as I thought the initial trailer for the first film was far more memorable. And remember that I wasn’t a huge fan of Chapter One, so I approached the sequel with a more skeptical eye. We’ll see if It: Chapter Two surpasses its record-setting predecessor when it hits theaters on Sept. 6. Bring a raincoat and maybe you’ll float too!

The film is slated for release on September 6, 2019.
