Idris Elba to star in Universal Pictures’ thriller Beast

Idris Elba will be starring in the Universal Pictures’ Beast, directed by Baltasar Kormakur.

While the script for the project is being provided by Rampage scribe Ryan Engle.

The upcoming film is said to be a thriller based on an original idea by Jaime Primak-Sullivan.

The production house is keeping any further details about the project under the carpet at the moment.

However, news source revelas that the plot of the flim is being in the vein of The Shallows but instead of sharks, a lion with be involved as the central antagonist.

Elba will be next seen in James Gunn’s DC movie The Suicide Squad slated for 2021 release.
