The victim was a resident of the Sector 11-G area of New Karachi.

A 12-year-old boy was killed as a sacrificial animal went out of control in Karachi.

According to police, the deceased was a 12-year-old boy identified as Ibrahim, a resident of the Sector 11-G area of New Karachi.

The boy had taken his cow for a stroll when he met with the accident.

As the animal went out of control, the cow’s leash entangled around his legs and he couldn’t escape. The animal dragged the child for about a kilometer, leaving him severally injured.

People who saw the mishap sprang into action, chasing after the animal in an attempt to rescue the child.

The injured child was rushed to a nearby hospital; however, he succumbed to his severe injuries.

A CCTV video that captured the incident is now doing rounds on social media, however, due to it graphic nature it is not attached herewithin the story.

Ibrahim was the second among four siblings and he was known for his innocent and playful nature.

His father reportedly works in a cloth shop.
