16 killed, 30 injured in deadly blast in Quetta

At least 16 people were killed and 30 injured in an explosion in Hazar Ganji area of Quetta this morning. Security forces have now cordoned off the area and the injured been shifted to Bolan Medical Complex and Civil Hospital with emergency declared at both hospitals.

According to initial reports, a car belonging to a member of the Hazara community was targeted in the attack, however no confirmation about whether the bomb was planted in the car or thrown at it, was received. The explosion occurred in the Hazar Ganji, vegetable market.
