Asim Bajwa’s resignation as SAPM Information and Broadcasting approved
Asim Bajwa’s resignation as Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting has been approved by Prime Minister Imran Khan, it emerged on Monday.
Taking it to social media Lt Gen (retd) Asim Bajwa informed that the premier has accepted his resignation.
“I requested the honourable Prime Minister to relinquish me from the additional portfolio of SAPM on Info & broadcasting. He very kindly approved my request”, he wrote in a tweet.

Retired Lt Gen Bajwa had forwarded his resignation to the prime minister from the additional post earlier in September which was rejected by the premier at that time.

On September 4, Lt Gen (retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa decided to step down as a top prime ministerial aide shortly after coming clean on scandalous allegations of assets concealment in a detailed rebuttal shared on the popular micro-blogging site Twitter.
