Coronavirus in Pakistan: First positive case reported in Karachi

The first positive case of the coronavirus has been reported in Karachi, the confirmation comes from a spokesperson for the Sindh Health Department confirmed on Wednesday.

Media Coordinator to the Health and Population Welfare Minister Meeran Yousuf in a statement says that  a 22-year-old male patient, identified as Yahya Jaffri, travelled to Iran where he acquired the virus.

As being reported the patient travelled from Iran to Karachi by plane, and the patient and his family are being kept in quarantine.

Reportedly, Health Department is in the process of examining all the passengers that he travelled with.
