Earthquake of 4.1-magnitude jolts several areas of Karachi

Earthquake of 4.1-magnitude jolts several areas of Karachi at 10:16  pm on Wednesday.

Minor tremors were felt in the city’s areas of Federal B Area Block 5, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Malir Cantt, Scheme 33, II Chundrigar, Gulshan-e-Hadeed, and Gadap.

According to Pakistan’s National Seismic Monitoring Centre, its epicentre was 15 north of Defence Housing Authority (DHA), Karachi.

The depth of the earthquake was 15km.

So far no casualties or damages have been reported due to the quake.

However, the citizens who felt the tremors panicked pacing outside in open areas.
