Gilgit-Baltistan agriculture minister passes away due to Covid-19

Gilgit-Baltistan’s (GB) Minister for Agriculture Haji Janbaz Khan has passed away due to the novel coronavirus on Thursday.

According to the focal person for GB’s health department, Dr. Shah Zaman, “Khan was hospitalised after testing positive for Covid-19 and had been on a ventilator for the last four days”.

“He had a heart-related disease, besides diabetes,” said the doctor.

The 64-year-old veteran politician hailed from the Diamer district and was among the founding members of the Pakistan Muslim League in the region.
