Nawaz Sharif addresses PML-N’s first rally of 2024 election season

In his opening remarks, the three-time former prime minister maintained that his mission is putting "Pakistan back on its feet".

Nawaz Sharif on Thursday addressed PML-N’s first rally of election season held in Hafizabad.

Speaking to the gathering alongside Saira Afzal Tarrar, Nawaz Sharif said that Pakistan would have become an ‘Asian Tiger’ if he had not been ousted from power in 2017.

In his opening remarks, the three-time former prime minister maintained that his mission is putting “Pakistan back on its feet”.

Former prime minister said that his government had ended terrorism and load-shedding in the country but he had been removed for not receiving a salary from his son.

Nawaz Sharif went on to say that he would leave no difference between Lahore and Hafizabad if he came to power again.

PML-N supremo made a relatively short speech at Hafizabad jalsa, just a day after Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari’s ‘lion is hiding’ tirade and handed the mic to Maryam Nawaz.
