Karachi Police head office located on main Shahrah–e–Faisal comes under attack by unknown assailants on Friday evening.

As reported, the area  surrounding the police head office echoed with the sounds of heavy firing and explosions

According to police officials, all the lights of the KPO have been switched off, the police head office is staffed, and the assailants have thrown grenades from behind the police head office.

During the attack on the Karachi Police Head Office, explosions along with heavy firing, are reported.

Heavy firing was heard for 10 to 15 minutes.

A rescue official was injured after being shot and has been shifted to the Jinnah Hospital, confirmed hospital sources.

As reported, the person who sustained two bullets is out of danger.

According to initial reports, an attack has taken place towards the police line.

The roads leading to Shahrah–e–Faisal, Lines Areas have been blocked for traffic.

The sounds of firing are being heard intermittently, and all the police and rangers have been called, according to the initial reports, the terrorists have entered the Police Office.

According to the authorities, the number of attackers and where they came from is being investigated.

In a statement, the Saddar police station said that it had come under attack. “SHO, PI Khalid Hussain Memon informed that unknown accused [attacked] Saddar police station near KPO.

Firing is going on everywhere,” the statement said.
