Maulana Tariq Jamil leads his son’s funeral prayer in Tulamba
Asim Jamil died of suicide and was a psychiatric patient under medication.
Maulana Tariq Jamil led his son Asim Jamil‘s funeral prayer in Tulamba offered on Monday evening.
Deceased Asim Jamil was suffering from “severe depression” and died by suicide at his home on Sunday, was laid to rest in his native town.
Maulana Tariq while addressing the funeral procession said, “The grief of the death of a young son is known only to those [loved ones] grieving.”
“This wound will not heal soon,” he added.
Maulana Tariq Jamil’s youngest son Asim Jamil was laid to rest in Tulamba, their native town in Punjab.
Condolences
A number of politicians including Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif, the party’s Chief Organiser Maryam Nawaz, and Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani extended condolences to the eminent scholar over his son’s untimely demise.
“The sudden death of Maulana Tariq Jameel’s son is very saddening. May Allah make no one suffer the pain of the death of a child,” Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar wrote on X.

He also prayed to Allah Almighty for the forgiveness of the departed soul and patience to his family.
