MET office forecasts mild heat-wave in Karachi

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Saturday has informed that heat-wave has been downgraded to mild heat-wave in Karachi.

According to the press release issued earlier today, PMD reported that hot and humid weather is likely to prevail in the city. The maximum temperature may range between 38 degree Celsius to 40 degree Celcius on Saturday and Sunday.

Met Office further reported that the temperature on Monday may further decrease to 37 degree Celsius to 39 degree Celsius.

The direction of wind during day time will blow from southwesterly to westerly way.

As a safety measure from heat-wave, the authorities and stakeholders are requested to take necessary precaution.

Earlier, a three-day heat-wave alert has been issued for the city by PMD with temperature constantly expected to rise.
