NCOC issues COVID prevention guidelines ahead of Eidul Azha

The National Command and Control Centre has issued COVID prevention guidelines on Sunday ahead of Eidul Azha.

An official communique released by the authority has declared Covid-19 vaccination mandatory for all staff and traders at cattle markets in instructions issued by the body for the upcoming Eidul Azha holiday.

While cattle markets must be set up outside cities and subject to compliance with Covid-19 standard operating procedures, it added.

“ban on buying and selling of animals inside the city”, said the instructions issued by NCOC.

The NCOC has also urged the masses to follow the SOPs to prevent Covid infections.

Ministry of National Health Services issues Eidul Azha guidelines

Earlier in the week, the Ministry of National Health Services has also issued Eidul Azha guidelines.

The Ministry urges the faithful to ensure social distancing during the Eid congregations. The ministry also urged people to avoid family events, hugging each other on Eid day, because it could spread the disease.

Furthermore, people are urged to undertake minimal necessary travel during Eid holidays as the “risk of a new wave was imminent”.

The advisory added that the animal markets being set up must adhere to the guidelines for social distancing and other protective measures.

The ministry has also advised people to prefer online buying and district administrations to allocate large enough spaces away from populated areas for animal markets.

Local authorities would have to ensure every individual visiting the market wore a facemask properly (covering both the nose and mouth) at all times, it added.
