#Breaking: Ramadan crescent sighted in Pakistan

Ramadan crescent sighted, the first roza will be on Thursday, March 23, in Pakistan.

Chairman Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad announced the decision in a press conference.

He said that Shahadat of Chand was received from Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Swabi, Qila Saifullah and Mardan after which it was unanimously decided that tomorrow the first fast in the country.

Central Ruet e Hilal committee met in Peshawar to sight the crescent of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

The meeting was held in Peshawar under the chairmanship of Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, while the meetings of Zonal Committees also took place across the country.

Tahir Raza Bukhari, head of the Punjab Zonal Committee, announced that the Ramadan moon was not sighted in the entire province including Lahore.

He said that the final announcement regarding the moon will be made by the central sighting of the crescent committee.

Apart from this, the moon of Ramadan was not seen in Sindh and Quetta and no evidence was received.

A day earlier, the Department of Meteorology predicted that there is a strong possibility of seeing the moon of Ramadan in Pakistan on Wednesday, as the birth of the moon occurred at 10:23 PM.

“The first Suhoor will be held in Pakistan on Thursday when the moon is visible tomorrow,” the MET department had said.
