Shangla suicide attack: 5 Chinese nationals among 6 killed as suicide bomber rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into a convoy

At least six people, including five Chinese nationals, were killed in an explosion when their convoy was attacked by a suicide bomber in Bisham tehsil of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Shangla, on Tuesday.

According to DIG Malakand Mohammad Ali Gandapur, a suicide bomber rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into a convoy of Chinese engineers that was on its way from Islamabad to their camp in Dasu.

DIG Gandapur confirmed that five Chinese nationals and their Pakistani driver were killed in the attack.

Following the attack, a large contingent of law enforcers reached the site and cordoned off the area.

Traffic on the route has halted as authorities investigate the attack.
