Ace South African batswoman Lizelle Lee had shown early signs of her big hitting ability early on in her domestic career, once smashing an unbeaten 169 off 84 balls in a provincial T20 game. She was only 21 when she made her international debut in a T20I against Bangladesh in September 2013, followed by her ODI debut in the same series. Picked for the 2014 ICC Women's World Twenty20, Lee started excellently, posting 67 not out against Pakistan, soon followed by 43 against Ireland. Lee's 104 off just 58 balls in the finals of the 2018 Kia Super League is also a memorable highlight of her career - a knock which sealed the title for Surrey Stars.
In May 2018, Lee became the third South African woman to score 2,000 runs in WODIs.
