Afghanistan beat Pakistan by 7 wickets to gain a 2-0 lead in the T20 series!

In the second T20 match of the series played at Sharjah Cricket Ground, the green team once again won the toss and decided to bat first, which again proved fatal.

Fazlul Haq Farooqui bowled well and in his very first over, after the young opener Saeem Ayub, Abdullah Shafiq were dismissed on the first ball.

The score had just reached 20 when Naveen-ul-Haq struck to take down Mohammad Haris after scoring only 15 runs.

In this situation, senior players Shadab Khan and Imad Wasim played a very careful inning and took the team’s score to 130 runs, which was not a defensible target.

Pakistan managed to put 130-6 in 20 overs on the scoreboard was built around a sedate 57-ball 64 not out by all-rounder Imad Wasim — his maiden T20I half-century.

Shadab, who is deputising for rested skipper Babar Azam, hit three boundaries in his 25-ball knock.

While chasing the target of 130 runs Rahmanullah Gurbaz (44 off 49 balls) and Ibrahim Zadran (38 off 40 balls) set the platform for a certain win for Afghanistan during their 56-run second wicket stand.

Najibullah (23) and Nabi (14) remained unbeaten to seal the victory.
