Indian Cricket Board’s 4-member delegation reaches Pakistan

Indian Cricket Board’s 4-member delegation reached Pakistan’s Lahore through the Wahgah Border on Monday.

A delegation from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), including President Roger Binny and Vice-President Rajeev Shukla, has arrived on a two-day visit.
The Indian delegation will watch the Asia Cup matches to be played on September 5 and 6 in Lahore.
“Positive that our cricketing ties will grow which will lead to growing our bilateral ties”, said PCB Chairman Zaka Ashraf as he held hands with Rajiv Shukla and Roger Binny, BCCI’s top-ranking officials here in Lahore.
Roger Binny said, “Very pleased to be in Pakistan. Thank Pakistan for inviting us over”.
The BCCI delegation has come to Pakistan at the invitation of Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Zaka Ashraf.
This marks the first visit by the BCCI delegation since 2008.

While talking to Indian media before coming to Pakistan, Roger Bani and Rajeev Shukla said that we are going to Pakistan for cricket, and there will be no talk about politics.
BCCI President Roger Binny said, “India-Pakistan matches are bigger than any other tournament in the world.”
While answering on the impact of Indo-Pak relations on cricket, BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla said, “We will adhere to whatever guidance the government provides.”
