Pakistan’s batting line fails yet again against India, entire team bowled out for 191 runs

Pakistan were knocked out for 191 in the 43rd over after their batting line-up collapsed!

Pakistan’s batting line failed again against India, the entire team was bowled out with just 191 runs on the board during the high-voltage World Cup 2023 match at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on Saturday.

Green team’s batting line-up suffered its worst defeat against arch-rivals India in the Cricket World Cup 2023 group and despite Rizwan and Babar’s 82-run partnership, the entire team was bowled out for just 191 runs.

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam managed to smash a half-century against India for the first time in an ODI match.

Openers Abdullah Shafiq and Imamul Haq adopted a cautious approach as Pakistan was put to bat first by India after winning the toss.

Both the players batted well against Bumrah but were kept on target by Mohammad Siraj in his all-three overs.

The openers of the national team gave the team a start of 41 runs in 8 overs, but at the same score, Abdullah Shafique lost his wicket LBW in an unsuccessful attempt to play a shot on an incoming ball from Siraj.

Captain Babar Azam came to bat along with Imam and started to push the score gradually.

Both the players started making runs quickly, after hitting Hardik Pandya for a boundary, Imam ul Haq was caught by the wicketkeeper while trying to play a drive on the next ball, and he scored 36 runs.

Pakistan team was yet to recover from the loss when the umpire declared Mohammad Rizwan LBW off Ravindra Jadeja but Pakistan took a review against the decision and it proved to be right as the ball was going outside the leg stump.

Rizwan and Babar put on a partnership of 82 runs but on the same score, Siraj took the valuable wicket of Babar Azam to give India another breakthrough.

Saud Shakeel after surviving a run-out attempt, failed to capitalize on the opportunity and got lbw by Kuldeep Yadav after scoring just six runs.

Kuldeep also bowled Iftikhar Ahmed in the same over. Pakistan was 166/5 in the 33rd over.

After the loss of two quick wickets, the Indian skipper reintroduced Bumrah to the attack.

Bumrah struck taking the wicket of well-settled Rizwan. He scored 49.

The collapse intensified as Pakistan lost four wickets for just 14 runs, leaving them teetering at 168/6.

Shadab Khan and Mohammad Nawaz only got a partnership of 3 runs and once again Bumrah blew the wickets of the Pakistani batsman.

Muhammad Nawaz’s innings was also limited to just 4 runs and he gave an easy catch to Bumrah while trying to play over mid-on off Hardik Pandya.

Bumrah concluded the 36th over, leaving Pakistan precariously poised at 172/7.

Hasan Ali also returned to the pavilion trying to hit Jadeja for a six on the very first ball of the next over, scoring 12 runs.

Haris departed, leaving India with a very doable target of 192.

Jadeja sealed Pakistan’s innings at 191 in the 43rd over after successfully reviewing a not-out decision by the umpire.

Indian pacers bowled equally well with Siraj, Bumrah, Kuldeep, Jadeja, and Pandya taking two wickets each.
