Smith, Warner banned for a year by CA

In a show of strength and stringent action, Australian captain Steve Smith and vice captain David Warner have been banned for a year by Cricket Australia for their role in the tampering scandal. Cameron Bancroft who actually used tape to tamper with the ball has got a 9 month ban. A longer statement will be released by Cricket Australia. The players will have the right to appeal to an independent commissioner.

This comes at the back of shock and anger showed by the Australian public including their Prime Minister. Cricket Australia has been under pressure to act and seemingly they have taken decisive action.
