Local version of #MeToo as #MeinBhi launched at power packed Lux Style Award 2018
The preparations were carried on full swing, Farieha Altaf provided a glimpse for what is being done behind the scenes, she stated her on Insta, ”Can’t wait for you all to see what we’ve got in store for you, so proud to be putting together and directing this segment! Choreographers: Wahab Shah and the legendry Nahid Siddiqui!”.

It was reported earlier that Lux Style Awards show for this year is skipping out the customary song and dance performances and go for their bit of contribution towards socially relevant territory, the #Meetoo campaign in this part of world being called #MeinBhi. But there were other power packed performances as well.
Mukhtar Mai presented Frieha Altaf with the Lifetime Achievement Award for her contributions to the fashion industry. In her acceptance speech, Frieha Altaf quoted Asma Jahangir’s words to show her support for the #MeinBhi campaign, ”Mein woh aadhi gawahi hon jo poori gawahi ko paida karti hai”. Frieha Altaf expressed that Kya Darta Hai is set as the anthem for the #MeinBhi movement and it will be used by several NGOs to promote the human rights angle.
The show came to an end making a huge statement. 36 performers with an orchestra comprising of 40 instruments performed Shehzad Roy’s ‘ Kia Darta Hai’which was recomposed by Shani Arshad. Actor Ahsan Khan later took the stage with model Amna Ilyas for their #MeinBhi performance, several school children also performed with the two stars.
