Iconic Indian actor Dilip Kumar’s wife Saira Banu has appreciated Pakistan government’s efforts to preserve her husband’s ancestral home in Qissa Khwani bazaar, Peshawar. The veteran actress also shared how she and her husband visited his childhood home some years ago in Pakistan.
“My heart fills up with joy each time I receive the same news about the ancestral home of Yousuf Saheb in Peshawar which the provincial government has been repeatedly trying to turn into a monument for posterity,” said Banu.
“I wish the provincial government success in its efforts and sincerely hope that this time the dream comes true,” she added.
For a few years now Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has been trying to buy houses of legendary Bollywood actors Dilip Kumar and Raj Kapoor. The owner of the properties have however demanded Rs200 crore for the houses which will otherwise be converted into commerical avenues by other buyers.
