Mannat Murad Ep-2 and 3 Review: Finally, Murad meets Mannat but in a weird situation

Murad's family taking his proposal for Mannat creates funny situations

The newly started Geo Entertainment drama serial Mannat Murad aired its double episodes this week. For the very first time, we are watching Talha Chahour and Iqra Aziz as an onscreen couple. The play seems more like a sitcom right now. In the previous episode, we saw that Murad gets mesmerized by seeing Mannat for the very first time. This week’s two episodes are overall highly entertaining but quite over the top.

Well, I don’t understand why Muraad agrees to marry that elderly woman just for the sake of her sister getting married or just because he is so desperate to get married. Murad gets a good snubbing by his mother on agreeing to the proposal but she has refused this by insulting the guests. Murad asks his friend cum colleague to get Mannat’s whereabouts her name and the department where she works.

Mannat successfully landed herself a permanent job and she is excited about that. However, her Baray Bhaiya does not allow her to work but she manages to convince him by shedding a few tears. Mannat is the only sister of four brothers but currently, she is living with her two brothers. Baray Bhaiya (Noor Ul Hassan) has not married well wondering if he will make a match with Murad’s elder sister. The second brother ( Tipu Shareef) and his wife ( Uzma) are concerned about Mannat’s wedding

Murad’s over-possessive mother is noticing a change in Murad’s behavior and she is worried about that. Sisters suggests mother fix his marriage and for that, they are taking his proposal coincidentally to none other than Mannat’s house. Well, Mannat coming out wearing a huge veil and spilling the juice on the dress is quite a stretch. Murad’s mother’s reaction is quite caricature no one yells and insults like that making this serial less serious and more like a sitcom sort of.

Well, Murad is not as innocent and timid as we think him to be, he dares to slide right into the private chamber of Mannat. He has the guts to try to convince Mannat not to refuse his proposal and also he confesses his love for her. He tries to stop her way by closing the door which actually gets locked. Murad meets Mannat in a weird situation. This creates a lot of fuss in the house again Murad’s mother’s reaction and blaming Mannat’s family for kidnapping her son is too over the top. It seems that Murad’s words have touched Mannat in some way.

Overall highly entertaining watch but quite over the top.
