Yunhi Last Episode Review: Kim and Dawood end up together happily ever after

Kim transforms herself as Kaneez Fatima

Yunhi, a Hum TV drama serial finally comes to an end after 34 Episodes. Penned by Sarawat Nazir and directed by Etheshaamuddin, the old-school play with all its vintage feels and aesthetic frames made this serial our favorite Prime Time Watch. In the previous episode, we see Kim canceling her flight for Basharat Uncle. In this episode, we saw him leaving for America.

Kim is resolute that she will leave Dawood and Pakistan soon after Basharat uncle’s condition stabilized. She sees Dr. Fiza giving Dawood her wedding card. Well isn’t that too soon few days back there was no sign or plans of her marriage when Dawood asked her but now all of a sudden she came up with her wedding invite. Dawood asks Kim to stay till that date so that they both can attend her wedding but Kim declines this offer saying that she has to leave early.

Dawood says that he has realized that she and George have nothing like him and Dr. Fizza. Kim still remains unmoved she has made up her mind to leave for America. Although she is already missing the family she leaves for America giving heartfelt goodbye notes for everyone except Dawood. It is shown that a year has passed by and Dawood has fallen more and more in love with Kim.

Kim makes her entry back with Dr Naveed but this time as Kaneez Fatima. She has transformed herself and spent a whole year studying Islam. She herself decided to come back to Dawood just then when Dawood decided to go to America to meet Kim. It is shown that breaks are good for relationships. Kaneez Fatima is no less a prize for Dawood for all his patience and struggles. They both end up together happily ever after.

The ending of the play is a perfect one. Thank God it is not a tragic ending and we have not experienced Dawood and Kim’s separation. Unlike that, the twist at the end of the play is what makes the audience happy with Kim and Dawood’s happy union. It has shown that despite Kim’s appearances her character and pure heart is what makes her apart and it seems that she has brought change in her family. Even Mudassar uncle has gotten inspiration from this change and he has married off Husna outside her family breaking all his so-called self-imposed rules. In short, Yunhi is a project to be remembered for its aesthetic frames and vintage feels and most importantly for Maya and Bilal’s sizzling onscreen chemistry! Kudos to the entire team of Yunhi.
