Dune trailer: Timothee Chalamet embarks on a dangerous journey in the new sci-fi film
Filmmakers have released the trailer of the upcoming sci-fi film Dune, featuring Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya in lead roles.
Timothee Chalamet plays the lead role of Paul Atreides, who tries to save his people from the enemies while Zendaya is Timothee’s love interest in the film.
The film is the adaptation of Frank Herbert’s 1965 novel of the same name, that tells the story of Paul Atreides, a brilliant and gifted man, who must travel to the most dangerous planet in the universe to ensure the future of his family and people.
The trailer introduces the desert world of Arrakis, home to the most coveted substance in its universe, the spice. After having visions, Paul Atreides embarks on a dangerous journey to get back control of Arrakis from those who oppose House Atreides.
During his journey, he will receive help from two mentors, who serve as the weapon master and swordmaster for House Atreides, Gurney Halleck (Josh Brolin), and Duncan Idaho (Jason Momoa), respectively.
Dune also stars Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Chang Chen, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Charlotte Rampling and Javier Bardem.
Directed by Denis Villeneuve, Dune is scheduled to release on December 18.
