Afif desert in KSA received rare snowfall!
The Afif desert, located west of Riyadh, was unexpectedly covered in snow after recieving a heavy rain and hail on Friday afternoon.
The rare scene showing the wintry scene in an area typically known for its arid climate went viral on social media.
The snowfall in the region comes amid predictions suggesting that a new weather system will enter Saudi Arabia starting last Sunday. Under the influence of this new system, widespread rainfall in the Kingdom, along with thunderstorms, hail, and dust-stirring winds was predicted.
