The news of Sunny Deol to arrive in Pakistan was confirmed by the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh of India’s Punjab. As being reported by Indian news agency ANI, Sunny Deol said: “If I won’t go, who will? I’ll definitely go. It is my area and my home.”
Other than Sunny Deol, former Indian premier Manmohan Singh and cricketer turned politician Navjot Singh Sidhu will also visit the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib.
As being reported, India had sent a list of the 550-member delegation that will be attending the inauguration event on November 9 being held at Kartarpur.
The first group of Sikh pilgrims to arrive at the inauguration will also include Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh and Union Ministers Hardeep Puri and Harsimrat Kaur Badal.
Congress MLA Navjot Singh Sidhu was finally given political clearance to visit the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib by the Indian foreign ministry on Thursday. He sought permission from the external affairs ministry to attend the event, after receiving an invitation by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Actor turned politician, Sunny Deol, was the BJP’s star candidate in Punjab during the national election.
