Matthew Perry laid to rest in Los Angeles in a private funeral

All five of his Friends co-stars attended the service

Matthew Perry was laid to rest in Los Angeles in a private funeral on Saturday.

The 54-year-old American actor known best for his role as Chandler Bing in the hit sit-com “Friends” was found dead six days ago.

As reported, Matthew Perry’s private funeral was held on Friday at the Forest Lawn Church of the Hills in Los Angeles.

All five of his Friends co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer attended the service to say an emotional goodbye.

The photos from the funeral doing rounds showed mourners comforting one another on the lawn at the funeral home.

As reported Perry’s funeral was a small affair with about 20 or so people including family and close friends in attendance.

The funeral service reportedly ended with a rendition of Peter Gabriel’s song ‘Don’t Give Up’ which includes the lyrics: ‘No fight left or so it seems, I am a man whose dreams have all deserted, I’ve changed my face, I’ve changed my name, But no one wants you when you lose.’

Perry’s co-stars shared a joint statement days after his death said: “We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family. There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss.”

The cause of Matthew Perry’s death is unknown and has been reported to be”deferred” pending further investigation.
