Veteran actor Shakeel passes away in Karachi

Veteran actor Shakeel passes away at age 85 in Karachi on Thursday, sadly on the first day of Eid ul Azha.

 

Yousuf Kamal known by his screen name Shakeel was 85.

According to family sources, he was admitted to the hospital four days ago, with arthritis and heart complications.

His funeral prayers were offered after Asar tomorrow.

According to sources, actor Shakeel’s daughter is reaching Karachi tonight from Saudi Arabia, the actor’s son is already in Karachi.

Recipient of Sitara-i-Imtiaz, Shakeel ruled the TV screen during the gold era of PTV.

The legendary actor had impeccable acting skills and attained prominence with his memorable roles in various television dramas

He has left behind some notable works to his credit including Uncle Urfi (1972), Ankahi (1982), Aangan Terha (1984), and many others.
