‘Game Of Thrones’ Prequel Gets Premiere Window At HBO

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight is currently in pre-production

‘Game Of Thrones’ prequel has got a premiere window at HBO!

CEO David Zaslov revealed During the Warner Bros. Discovery earnings call on Friday, that the prequel, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight is currently in pre-production and will premiere in “late 2025.”

We get to know that the prequel based on George R.R. Martin‘s Dunk & Egg fantasy novellas, was ordered to series in April 2023.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms will be set roughly 90 years before the events of Game of Thrones.

The spinoff series, House of the Dragon is set 172 years before the events of Game of Thrones.

This places the prequel about a century ahead of House of the Dragon, slotting it firmly in the middle of both popular HBO shows.

“A century before the events of Game of Thrones, two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros… a young, naïve but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg,” reads the logline.

“Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends.”

Meanwhile, the prequel series debut will follow the Season 2 premiere of the GoT spinoff House of the Dragon in the summer of 2024.
