Kareena Kapoor’s OTT debut Netflix’s ‘Jaane Jaan’ trailer is out
Jaane Jaan is set to premiere on Netflix on 21 September
Kareena Kapoor’s Netflix’s ‘Jaane Jaan’, trailer is finally out. The film is the Indian adaptation of Japanese author Higashino Keigo’s bestselling 2005 novel “The Devotion of Suspect X.”
Netflix on Tuesday released the first trailer of filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh‘s “Jaane Jaan” scheduled for streaming from Sept. 21.

The film is based on the story of a single mother and her daughter who commit a crime and a neighbor who helps them cover it up amidst a police investigation.
The film also stars Jaideep Ahlawat (“Paatal Lok”) and Vijay Varma (“Dahaad”).
Jaane Jaan is produced by 12th Street Entertainment and Northern Lights Films.
Let’s wait to find out how the Indian adaptation will appear as the novel has previously been adapted numerous times across the globe including in Japan as “Suspect X” (2008), in Korea as “Perfect Number” (2012), and in China as “The Devotion of Suspect X” (2017).
Meanwhile, a Hollywood version is currently in development.
Talking about ‘Jaane Jaan’ Bollywood royalty Kareena Kapoor Khan said: “This is the first time audiences will see me in a thriller, playing something gritty like this. ‘Jaane Jaan’ was a script that I had to say yes to the first time I heard of it. I have always told Sujoy the USP of this film is its cast and I had a superb time working with Jaideep and Vijay.”
Talking about ‘Jaane Jaan’ Ghosh added: “Set in Kalimpong, the film sees a love story, a criminal investigation, a budding attraction, mastermind plotting, and the will to do anything for love. Essayed by my dream cast of Kareena, Jaideep, and Vijay, all in roles so different from what they have been seen in before.”
