Two Game of Thrones Actors Included in Amazon’s Lord of the Ring Series

Amazon just recently announced its cast for the upcoming Lord of the Ring series to be released on its online streaming site Amazon Prime. Interestingly enough, two of the main cast members are alumni of HBO’s popular show Game of Thrones.

Joseph Mawle and Robert Aramayo are the two actors who previously appeared in GoT and have now been roped in for the Lord of the Rings saga.

Joseph Mawle played Benjen Stark – brother of Ned Stark – in Game of Thrones. It is unclear which role he would be seen playing in the Amazon Prime project. On the other end, Robert Aramayo who played young Ned Stark in the HBO series is taking up a protagonist role that Will Poulter left due to scheduling issues.

Other cast members of Amazon series include Tom Budge, Markella Kavenagh, Sophia Nomvete, and Nazanin Boniadi. Morfydd Clark is also going to be a part of the film’s adaption and is confirmed to portray a young Galadriel.

Set in the era of 3,441-year, known as Second Age, the Lord of the Rings series will be shot this year. It is slated for a 2021 release.
