Leonardo DiCaprio might be starring in Stephen King’s ‘Billy Summers’ film adaptation!

In the latest from Hollywood, we get to know that Stephen King’s novel “Billy Summers” is set to be made into a film. And Oscar winner superstar Leonardo DiCaprio could take on the lead role of a professional killer.

As reported, Warner Bros. has acquired the bestselling book and considering it will work better as a film.

This was originally packaged as a ten-episode limited series and shopped around to cable networks and streamers, it was reported last year in February, but the decision was made that ‘Billy Summers’ would work better as a feature

According to a Deadline report, DiCaprio’s Appian Way and Abbrams’ Bad Robot will produce the film depending on how the Billy Summers script turns out.

Stephen King’s (75) novel, is based on the story of assassin Billy Summers who disguises himself as an aspiring writer in order to take on one last, lucrative job in a small town in the United States. Summers is tasked with killing a co-worker before he can trouble a powerful crime boss in court. However, the cynical main character increasingly begins to doubt his client.

Published in 2021, the novel debuted at No. 1 on The New York Times bestseller list.

DiCaprio who has been making headlines for his new date nights, lately, on the work front, will be seen alongside old star Robert De Niro (79) in Martin Scorsese’s (80) western drama “Killers of the Flower Moon”.
