14 soldiers martyred as terrorists attack convoy moving from Pasni to Ormara

14 soldiers were martyred as terrorists attacked a convoy moving from Pasni to Ormara on Friday.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), in a statement, said the terrorists attacked two vehicles of a security convoy moving from Pasni to Ormara in Gwadar district.

“A sanitisation operation was being carried out in the area and perpetrators of this heinous act will be hunted down [and] brought to justice,” ISPR notified.

“The security forces are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve,” it added.

PM strongly condemns terrorist attack on security forces in Gwadar

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar strongly condemned the terrorist attack on the convoy of security forces in Gwadar district.

The prime minister paid tribute to 14 security forces personnel who were martyred in the attack.

“The martyrs sacrificed their lives for the safety of the country. The entire Pakistani nation, including me, is proud of its martyrs,” PM said, adding, said such cowardly attacks by terrorists would never be able to deter the resolve of the Pakistani nation and its forces.

Interim Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani condemning the terrorist attack said, “Strongly condemn the cowardly terrorist attack on our soldiers which resulted in the martyrdom of 14 brave sons of the soil. Such acts are utterly reprehensible. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the martyred and injured. Pakistan stands resolute against terrorists.”
