Biden’s Thanksgiving Nantucket getaway didn’t go well, report

Biden has become a target of criticism over his steadfast support of Israel

Biden’s Thanksgiving getaway didn’t go well, several reports emerging from the US claimed on Sunday.

The US president has spent much of the holidays of this year’s Thanksgiving on Nantucket Island, which has long been considered an exclusive vacation getaway for rich tourists.

However, the Biden family’s Nantucket stay has been repeatedly interrupted by protesters as the US president has become a target of criticism over his steadfast support of Israel.

On Saturday, Joe Biden was booed and heckled on the streets of Nantucket even as people protesting the war in Gaza were kept far away from the president.

As reported, the US president’s motorcade even took a different route from where he is staying – David Rubenstein’s $34 million home on Abrams Point – into town to avoid driving past protestors gathered on the side of the road with signs saying ‘Free Palestine.’

While, a group of about 40 protestors calling for an end to the fighting in Palestine were kept down one end of Main Street in downtown Nantucket – about six blocks from where Biden was shopping with his wife Jill Biden, son Hunter Biden and the first couple’s grandchildren.

On Friday, Biden’s outing was interrupted twice by pro-Palestine protesters, as he walked to lunch and then again by a handful of demonstrators at the tree ceremony who had wiggled their way to the front of the crowd. Leaning against metal barricades and waving banners that said “Free Palestine,” the protesters chanted: “Biden, Biden, you can’t hide. We charge you with genocide!”
