Bilawal stern to take action against those involved in election day violence
PPP chairman also criticised the LEAs for filing a FIR against the family of the worker who was killed
Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari is stern to take action against those involved in violence during the election.
PPP Chairman spoke to media in Karachi on Saturday, February 24 after visiting the home of a party supporter who was killed in a firing incident on February 8.
“Our workers were beaten up on election day. We will apprehend those involved in attacking our workers,” he told media.
Bilawal Zardari also criticised the Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) for filing a first information report (FIR) against the family of the worker who was killed in the firing.
PPP Chairman also directed the incoming chief minister of Sindh to take swift action against those who were involved in violence against workers of political parties during the election campaign.
“We will form a joint investigation team to investigate all such incidents. We will apprehend those involved in such activities and bring them to justice,” he maintained.
Without naming anyone, the former foreign minister said that political parties who wish to bring political violence to Karachi, will not be allowed by the PPP’s provincial government to do such things.
