Moonis Elahi declared absconder in money laundering case

Moonis Elahi has been declared absconder in a money laundering case by an accountability court!

Moonis Elahi, son of PTI president Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi, has been declared the absconder for fleeing abroad with billions of rupees in the case registered by the Anti-Corruption Circle.

The FIA had pleaded to declare Elahi an absconder for not appearing before the investigation agency even after the issuance of a non-bailable arrest warrant against him.

As reported, the court has ordered to start of proceedings to freeze his property, bank accounts, passport, and CNIC.

It has also sought the details of the travel history and bank accounts of Moonis Elahi.

The Anti-corruption Circle Punjab has also filed a case against four suspects including Elahi and submitted the challan to the court.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former federal minister Moonis Elahi is facing two cases of money laundering.

He has been accused of illegally taking billions of rupees out of the country.
