Pakistan receives an installment of 700 million dollars from the IMF
The loan was approved after the IMF Executive Board completed its first review last week
Pakistan on Wednesday received an installment of 700 million dollars from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The development comes after the IMF’s Executive Board approved the economic review last week.
Pakistan has received the next installment of $705.6 million from the global lender under the $3 billion standby arrangement with the IMF.
According to the Pakistan State Bank (SBP) , after the recent installment, Pakistan has received a total sum of $1.9 billion from the global lender under the approved package.
Pakistan will get another $1.1 billion from the IMF after the final economic review, the governor added.
