Petrol price jacked up by Rs4.13 per liter

Yet another blow for already inflation-stricken masses ahead of Ramadan

Petrol price has been jacked up by Rs4.13 per litre, to be effective till March 15.

The outgoing caretaker government late Thursday night announced an increment in Petrol prices.

With the new increment, the petrol price now stands at Rs279.75 per litre.

Meanwhile, no change has been made in the high-speed diesel (HSD) price, i.e., Rs287.33 per litre.

The price of light diesel oil (LDO) and kerosene oil have also been maintained at the same rates.

A notification issued from the Finance Division in this regard stated that the price of petrol was increased as per the recommendation of the Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).

This was the third consecutive hike by the country’s interim set-up and will be the last by them as an elected prime minister is all set to take office by the end of this week.
