Three Islamabad universities closed over security concerns
The students were informed about the indefinite closure late at night by the university administration.
Three universities in the federal capital have been closed amid the security concerns on Monday.
As reported, the administrations of the National Defence University, Bahria University, and Air University issued directives for the closure.
It is pertinent to mention here that all three universities are tied to Pakistan’s military.
According to the sources within the university administration, the development came after security agencies conducted a search operation in the suburbs of Islamabad late Sunday.
The final examinations of university students have also been affected due to the sudden closure, the sources added.
Meanwhile, the students of the varsities were informed about the indefinite closure of the campuses late at night by the university administration.
This comes as the country prepares for general elections amid political, economic, and security crises.
