Mukesh Ambani has kickstarted big fat Indian wedding celebrations for his youngest son Anant Ambani.
Asia’s richest man Mukesh Ambani and his family kicked off a three-day pre-wedding extravaganza in the family’s hometown on Friday as its heir is set to marry his longtime girlfriend, Radhika Merchant.
As the chairman of the Fortune 500 company Reliance Industries, Mukesh Ambani has an estimated net worth of $111 billion, according to Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index, making him the richest person in Asia and the 11th-richest person in the world.
Anant Ambani, Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding celebrations begin with ‘anna seva’ a day earlier where the couple participated in the long-standing tradition, a practice initiated by the Ambani family.
The Anna Seva event includes catering to 51,000 residents of the community and will extend over the next few days in villages in and around Jamnagar.
As reported, American singer Rihanna will perform today, March 1, at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s, daughter of industrialist Viren Merchant, pre-wedding event in Jamnagar.
The singer along with her troupe, arrived in Gujarat’s Jamnagar on February 29. A video of Rihanna arriving at the venue in Jamnagar has gone viral on social media.
Besides Rihanna, magician David Blaine will perform at the wedding, along with Indian superstar Diljit Dosanjh.
The Amanis have invited several international celebrities, arriving at that venue with chartered planes.
The big names on the guest list include billionaires Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Gautam Adani, and Kumar Mangalam Birla.
Bollywood stars Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Amitabh Bachan, Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, and MS Dhoni are also invited to the wedding celebrations.
Wedding celebrations will be a star-studded three-day event to begin on March 1. Each event features a unique theme.
As reported, the first night will feature a cocktail party under the theme ‘An evening in Everland’.
One of the days is titled under the theme ‘Jungle Fever’ and guests are to wear animal costumes or Hawaiian shirts.
Visitors attending the Jungle Fever celebration will be taken to an animal rescue center home to over 2,000 animals and what is claimed to be the largest elephant hospital in the world.
According to the Indian media reports, celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan and his family, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir, Arjun Kapoor, ‘Jawan’ director Atlee and his family, among others have already arrived at Jamnagar for the biggest fat Indian wedding.
