An alleged video clip featuring the music maestro has gone viral on social media leaving many in shock.
The widely circulated clip on social media, which was initially shared by Samaa TV, shows the famous singer demanding liquor from an individual and later physically assaulting him in front of some people.
Perhaps Rahat ended up beating his house help for a leftover bottle of Alcohol that he probably consumed himself and forgot about while being drunk.

Khan later released a clarification video alongside his disciple and the disciple’s father whom he had previously assaulted, as shown in the viral video.
In the video, his disciple explained that the bottle he requested didn’t contain liquor; instead, it had holy water from a religious cleric who recited verses over it.
The post was shared by senior journalist and anchor Tariq Mateen.

This is not the first time when Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has gotten embroiled in a controversy.
In 2019, the singer was accused of smuggling illegal foreign currency in India for three years. According to a report, Rahat had got $340,000 (Rs 2.42 crore) through illegal means of which he reportedly smuggled $225,000 (Rs 1.6 crore).
