Diriliş: Ertuğrul Enters Guinness World Record as Best Dramatic Work in History

Diriliş: Ertuğrul, Pakistan’s favorite Turkish drama, has claimed another feather for its studded cap as it becomes the best dramatic work in the history of global dramas, thus earning it a spot in Guinness Book of World Record.

The Turkish drama which is originally titled Dirilis Ertugrul, and translated to Ertugrul Ghazi and Resurrection Ertugrul has garnered over three billion views, with a massive following on streaming giant Netflix.

Alongside, Dirilis Ertugrul also boasts a record of being translated into 39 languages worldwide as it became a global sensation. Eyewallah!

All five seasons of the hit Turkish series are available on the streaming platform Netflix.

Diriliş: Ertuğrul becomes the most-watched drama on YouTube Pakistan. The drama’s first episode has garnered over 20 million views within 2 weeks.

The series is based on the life of 13th century Oghuz warrior Ertugrul, pronounced as “air-TU-rule”. Who is said to be the father of Osman Ghazi 1, the founder of the Ottoman Empire.

The play is set in the 13th century focusing on the life of Ertugrul, which tells the story of how the Ottoman Empire came to being. It’s being termed as the Turkish version of Game of thrones.

A halal version without any sexually explicit scenes but there is an intense story plot with a lot of violence and hardcore bloodshed.
