James Gunn has found the new Superman!

Look Both Ways star David Corenswet will replace booted Henry Cavill as Clark Kent in Superman: Legacy

James Gunn has found the new Superman for the upcoming movie that has been set for July 11th, 2025 release.

As reported, David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan have been tapped in to play Clark Kent and Lois Lane in James Gunn’s upcoming movie Superman: Legacy.

Reportedly, both the actors have been signed after a lengthy auditioning process that culminated in multiple actors signing test deals set to expire within business weeks so as to avoid SAG-AFTRA’s potential upcoming strike.

David Corenswet, 29, has never taken on a leading role in a major studio production before.

David Corenswet played Jake alongside Lili Reinhart in the 2022 Netflix film Look Both Ways and has previously also starred in Hollywood, The Politician, and the A24 film, Pearl.

“Accurate! (They are not only both incredible actors but also wonderful people),” Gunn said, retweeting the Hollywood Reporter’s article.
