Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar is now wondering if Mufti Muneeb will now be missed.
NCOC chief shared his thoughts in a social media post after the nation saw the proceedings of the Ruet e Hilal Committee headed by the new chairman Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad and announced the Shawwal moon sighting late Wednesday night after a much delay.

Taking a dig over the RHC, Asad Umar in a tweet shared, “Once upon a time pictures of Gen Ayub were plastered on the back of trucks with the caption…Teri Yaad Ai Teray Janay Kay Bad and I wonder if Mufti Muneeb will now be missed in the same way.”

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee chairman Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad on Wednesday announced that the witnesses were received from Balochistan, Azad Kashmir, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
“Zonal committees meet across the country and the decision was made on the basis of the witnesses received from different areas,” he said.
