Heavy rain leash Awaran to Ziarat areas of Balochistan in 24 hours.
In Makran, the rain that lasted for seven hours on Saturday caused a flood in the Sami River, while the Mirani dam was also filled.
According to the Meteorological Department, 68 mm of rain was recorded in Turbat and 26 mm in Panjgur during the last 24 hours under the westerly wind system bringing rains.
22 mm of rain was recorded in Khuzdar, 11 in Kalat, 9 in Lasbela, 8 in Quetta and Sibi, and 1 mm in Barkhan.

In Ghana and Nasirabad areas near Turbat, mud houses and walls were damaged due to heavy rainfall.
Light rain also occurred in Awaran, Harnai, Jafarabad, Bolan, Sherani, Kohlu, Gwadar and Dalbandin for 24 hours.
After the heavy rain, there was a flood situation in the Kech Kaur River and the Sami River.
According to PDMA, two vehicles got stuck in the Sami River in the suburbs of the Kech area. The FC and PDMA conducted a joint rescue operation to evacuate the nine people in the stuck vehicles in the Sami River. Entraped people were pulled out safely and moved to a safe place.

MET department has predicted more rain with isolated heavy rain/snow in the country from 31st Jan to 04th Feb.
Meanwhile, heavy rain may generate flash floods in Balochistan on 02nd/03rd February.
