Cristiano Ronaldo Tests Positive for COVID-19

The football star Cristiano Ronaldo has tested positive for coronavirus on Tuesday.

Portuguese football federation confirmed that the 35-year-old is asymptomatic and feeling fine, but he must now undergo a period of self-isolation.

The Portuguese attacker will now miss his country’s Nations League match against Sweden on Wednesday.

And his participation is also a doubt for Juventus’ upcoming fixtures against Crotone and Dynamo Kyiv.

As being reported, no further positive tests have been reported in the squad ahead of the Sweden match.

The Portuguese Football Federation (PFF) in a statement said: “Following the positive case, the remaining players underwent new tests this Tuesday morning, all with a negative result, and are available to Fernando Santos for training this afternoon, in Cidade do Futebol.

“The game (against Sweden), counting for the qualification phase of the Nations League, is scheduled for Wednesday, at 19:45, in Alvalade.”

Earlier on Monday, the 35-year-old posted a photo of himself on Instagram on which showed him sitting around a long dinner table along with his Portugal teammates.
