PSL 9 schedule announced, the event will kick start on Feb 17

The final of PSL 9 will be held on March 18 at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi.

PSL 9 schedule was announced on Friday revealing the much anticipated cricketing event of the county will kick start on Feb 17!

According to the schedule released by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the ninth season of the Pakistan Super League consisting of 6 teams will start on February 17 at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore, in which defending champions Lahore Qalandars will face Islamabad United.

The most popular event for the fans will be played in 4 cities Karachi, Lahore, Multan and Rawalpindi.

The final of PSL 9 will be held on March 18 at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi.

In the 34-match T20 tournament, Karachi will host 11 matches, including qualifiers, 2 eliminators and the final.

Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium and Rawalpindi’s Pindi Cricket Stadium will host 9.9 matches, while fans in Multan will be able to watch 5 matches.

Like the previous edition, the 9th edition of HBLPSL will also be held in two phases in which Multan Cricket Stadium and Gaddafi Stadium Lahore will host 14 matches from February 17 to 27.

The cricket action will then shift to Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi and National Bank Stadium in Karachi where 20 matches will be played from February 28 to March 18.

Announcing the schedule, PCB Management Committee Chairman Zaka Ashraf said, “We are happy to announce that the ninth edition of HBL Pakistan Super League is going to start on February 17, which will witness the beauty of T20 cricket in four cities.”

He said that the decision to host the event in these cities is proof of our commitment to offer high-quality cricket to fans across the country. We believe that hosting matches in these cities not only adds to the enthusiasm of the fans but also promotes cricket at the grassroots level.
