Hollywood star Carl Weathers passed away on Thursday aged 76.

Weathers become famous for his iconic role as Apollo Creed in the ‘Rocky’ franchise. 

Sylvester Stallone paid tribute to Carl Weathers his Rocky co-star following his tragic passing in an Instagram post.
 
“I give him incredible credit because when he walked into that room, and I saw him for the first time, I saw greatness, but I didn’t realize how great. I never could have accomplished what we did with Rocky without him… Apollo, keep punching,” Stallone said.

Arnold Schwarzenegger also took to social media to pay tribute to Carl Weathers.

“Carl Weathers will always be a legend. An extraordinary athlete, a fantastic actor, and a great person,” Arnold wrote for Weathers, his Predator co-star. 

” We couldn’t have made Predator without him. And we certainly wouldn’t have had such a wonderful time making it,” he added. 

 

In his career spanning over five decades, Carl Weathers left an indelible mark on the entertainment industry with more than 75 film and TV appearances to his credit.
