PTI leader Hammad Azhar withdraws from electoral race
Hammad Azhar’s counsel withdrew the appeal and the former minister announced that he would stay away from general elections.
PTI leader and former minister Hammad Azhar has withdrawn from the electoral race.
The development comes on Wednesday as the former minister withdrew his appeal against the rejection of nomination papers.
As Supreme Court’s Justice Mansoor Ali Shah and Justice Jamal Mandokhel took the hearing of the case of Hammad Azhar’s nomination papers rejection, his assistant lawyer told the court that Hammad Azhar did not want to follow the case.
Hammad Azhar’s counsel withdrew the appeal and the former minister announced that he would avoid general elections.
It must be noted that Hammad Azhar was supposed to be contesting the Feb 8 general election from the NA-129 constituency as an independent candidate.
